The co-ordination team is the main group that lead the ŻAK Żabbar group. The elected representatives are chosen by the ŻAK members themselves, once a year through an election after the yearly annual general meeting.

The role of the co-ordination team is to prepare the formation meetings for the members of the group, taking place once a week, every Tuesday at 8pm. The co-ordination team also has to keep direct contact with other leaders taking care of other groups in the same community. The major role of the co-ordination team is to take care of the regular activities which help unite the members of the group, get to know each other better and keep them active. To keep balance, each person in the co-ordination team takes on a role; the maintenance person, accountant, secretary, someone taking care of the weekly meetings and someone taking care of the activities, the latter can also be referred to as PRO, Public Relations Officer.

Even though, at the first impression one might think that there is a lot of work involved, it is something quite pleasurable once you work with your friends and agree on the same principles.
